Two methods have proven particularly effective in the treatment of depression:
Psychotherapy and medication.

Discuss with your doctor which form of treatment is right for you.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy for depression is usually a so-called cognitive behavioural therapy. It is one of the most effective and best scientifically researched forms of therapy for treating depression. Together with your psychotherapist, you will learn to recognise stressful thought patterns, interrupt negative thought spirals and develop new, helpful behavioural strategies in everyday life. The aim is to alleviate depressive symptoms, prevent relapses and improve your quality of life in the long term.

However, the path to a place in therapy often involves hurdles: The search can take several months and is associated with a great deal of effort or feelings of shame for the affected person. During this time, there is a risk of depressive symptoms becoming entrenched or worsening.

That’s why edupression was developed: Your effective and immediately available digital therapy for depression.

Start therapy immediately

Digital psychotherapy

edupression is a digital psychotherapy based on the methods of cognitive behavioural therapy. It therefore works according to the same principle as therapy with a psychotherapist. With edupression, you start your psychotherapy immediately after receiving your diagnosis and prescription (or as a self-paying patient immediately after purchasing your edupression access).

You can use edupression to improve your health without the need for conventional therapy. However, digital therapy is also helpful if you are already being treated by a psychotherapist. edupression offers you support in getting better both before and after, as well as alongside, conventional and/or drug therapy.

Drug therapy

Medication, known as antidepressants, can provide important support, especially in cases of moderate or severe depression, a chronic course or suicidal thoughts.

The medication does not work immediately, but can improve mood, drive and sleep after a few weeks. Antidepressants are not addictive and can be combined well with psychotherapy. Digital therapy with edupression provides you with sound information on drug treatment – explained in a way that is easy to understand and relevant to everyday life.
